23 juni 1984 - FIRST DUTCH HEART TRANSPLANTATION Rotterdam / Leiden – For the first time in Dutch history, a transplant heart was placed in the Dijkzigt Hospital in Rotterdam. The transplant was performed in collaboration with the Academic Hospital in Leiden. This type of operation has been bickering for months. The two hospitals have decided to continue on their own and not wait for approval from the ministry. This means that the hospitals now have to pay the costs themselves. 23 juni 1864 – FIRST FOR THE HAGUE: FIRST HORSE TRAM IN THE NETHERLANDS Den Haag – The first horse tram in the Netherlands runs in The Hague. The car runs for The Dutch Tramway Company (DTC) between The Hague and Scheveningen. The DTC was on 4 juni 1867 taken over by the Haagsche Tramway Maatschappij. Incidentally, that is not the HTM as we know it today. They'll pas 20 founded years later. read more: The Hague has the scoop: a horse tram! 23 juni 2009 - CASE AGAINST INA POST MUST BE OVER Leidschendam – The Supreme Court decides that the case against elderly carer Ina Post must be settled in its entirety. Previously had a committee (CLOCK) reviewed the investigation and it showed that the investigation did not go well. Mail was in 1990 sentenced to six years in prison for the death of an 89-year-old woman in Leidschendam. Even after the sentence was served, Post continued to insist that she was innocent. In 2010 she is acquitted. 23 juni 2015 - ROC LEAD SAVED BY GOVERNMENT Leiden – The House of Representatives agrees to the financial rescue of the ROC Leiden. The school ran into financial problems because of two expensive school buildings. They cost the ROC 11 million euros per year. A merger with the ID College was also being considered, but according to Minister Bussemaker that is not an option. Some parties believe that going bankrupt is an example for other schools, but according to Bussemaker this will actually cost more money. 23 juni 1978 – FIRST POP CONCERT IN THE TANK Rotterdam – Bob Dylan is the first artist to give a concert in De Kuip. Get there 52.000 people watching. The support act is performed by Eric Clapton. The first performance in De Kuip coincides with a civil service strike. For example, Public Transport is on strike. It ensures that chaotic scenes arise in and around Rotterdam, with kilometers of traffic jams. The concert is also somewhat marred by hailstorms and driving rain. According to Het Vrije Volk, Dylan needs money after a flopped film project or maintenance costs. He gives performances in Rotterdam, Nuremberg and at an airport in England.
