27 juni 2011 - MARCH OF CIVILIZATION; CULTURAL DEMONSTRATION AGAINST GOVERNMENT POLICY

Rotterdam / Den Haag – Thousands of artists and performers campaign against government cuts in the culture sector. The artists left on Sunday afternoon 26 June from Museum Boijmans van Beuningen and via Delft to the Binnenhof in The Hague. They arrive there the next day. They are not allowed there, so action is taken at the Malieveld and Buitenhof. Because of the cutbacks, according to the activists, there is no more room for "alternative art" and no room for young artists to develop.
